Band of Builders is using our fantastic QR2Donate solution. What an exciting partnership. On March 9th 2021 National Builders’ merchant, Jewsons announced the Band of Builders as their official charity partner. Founded in 1836 and with now over 500 branches, Jewsons offer expert advice, reliable service and high quality materials throughout the Country.
The story of the Band of Builders began only a few short years ago in 2016, with Keith Ellick, a builder who was diagnosed with terminal cancer. The charity was able through many kind volunteers to help renovate Keith’s home and landscape his garden. The charity has gone from strength to strength, completing 17 projects across the country, involving over 300 volunteers and donated building materials worth almost £400,000, with number 18 on the horizon.
With the support from Jewsons, the Band of Builders charity will reach even more people in the building community, raising awareness and vital funds in the journey.
Supported Giving has been chosen by the Band of Builders to aid the charity in it’s fundraising campaign. With advertising space available via Jewsons large network of branches, Supported Giving provided our QR2Donate solution consisting of a branded QR code and customised light mobile landing page with a choice of donation amounts, with a confirmation page, incorporating Gift Aid sign up. Donors have the choice of donating via Apple Pay and Google Pay (if they have previously set this up on their mobile devices), as well as donating by cards.
