Using QR codes at outdoor events
At the end of 2021 Hypo Hounds were looking for a cashless fundraising route to increase supporters at outdoor events. With the decrease in people carrying cash and problems with card readers in the past, they were looking for a dependable cashless solution. Supported Giving were able to provide them with QR codes to allow a simple and easy trackable donation solution. Hypo Hounds have used the QR codes across various areas such as; on collection tins, supporter car stickers, at in person events and for email campaigns. Between January to July 2022 Hypo Hounds attended various events including Biddington Tractor Fest and Eden Bridges which was a huge success.
In the next few months Hypo Hounds are planning a fundraiser for new land they are bidding for. The new totaliser feature on the Supported Giving donation pages will allow Hypo Hounds to add their target amount and keep track with the thermometer feature which also includes offline donations for supporters/the charity to view how close they are to hitting their target.
Also, the new appeals dropdown feature, which enables donors to select a particular fund they would like to donate to, will allow Hypo Hounds to use the donations for the area selected by the donor.
The support given to us and advice has been invaluable and has made this a smooth, simple and quick way of us targeting our fundraising. Hypo Hounds just loves Supported Giving – it’s so easy to use and has increased our donation income drastically when card readers have failed us! Couldn’t recommend Supported Giving enough!
