Case Study

Croydon Mosque & Islamic Centre

Supported Giving worked with the Croydon Mosque and Islamic Centre to develop a cashless fundraising solution for mobile and online donations, aiming to grow individual giving. The goal was to provide a secure platform for one-time and recurring donations, reduce cash handling and enable supporters to contribute even when unable to attend in person.

In early 2023, Croydon Mosque and Islamic Centre introduced Supported Giving’s QR2Donate to expand individual giving, engage a younger audience and simplify the donation process. Hundreds of donors quickly adopted this method, donating both in person and online through the mosque’s website.

The Supported Giving platform offers a secure and reliable way to accept mobile and online donations through a unique QR code, direct link, or an embeddable iFrame. Additionally, integrations with Apple Pay and Google Pay provide a fast, secure, and seamless option for both one-time and recurring donations.

Supported Giving quickly set up the platform for the Croydon Mosque and Islamic Centre, enabling them to start receiving donations almost immediately. The Supported Giving dashboard offers clients easy access to track active appeals and seamlessly create and manage new donation pages or campaigns.

Croydon Mosque has experienced great success with cashless donations over the months they have used the Supported Giving platform. Over the past two years, not only have thousands of pounds been donated to CMIC, but there has also been a consistent month-on-month increase in donations.

We look forward to building on this successful partnership and adding new features to benefit CMIC and all our clients

CMIC found the on boarding process with Supported Giving very easy. The staff were very helpful. We now have a method of donating that we previously did not offer to our donors and many donors are taking advantage of this easy method of giving.
