Appledown Rescue and Rehoming Kennels, established in 1999, is an animal rescue charity, dedicated to rescuing abandoned dogs of all breeds and ages. Their mission is to provide each stray dog with a comfortable bed, good food, necessary medical care and affection until they find the dogs a loving forever home with a caring family.
Appledown began using Supported Giving for their cashless fundraising in 2022, making good use of the QR codes for various events. Appledown has gained a lot of success through their donations from their fundraising, bringing in thousands of pounds. Through their events, they continue to raise the funds needed to provide care for the dogs under their protection.
Entering their second year with Supported Giving, Appledown is dedicated to refining their fundraising strategies, utilising the platform to its fullest extent to enhance successful fundraising efforts.
Appledown Rescue and Rehoming have been making use of the Supported Giving service for some time now and have found it to be an excellent way of simplifying the donation process for many of our supporters. With nearly 100 dogs in our care we need to focus all our efforts on raising funds to support them and having an easy-to-use platform which is user friendly from both the donor and the organisation perspective is fantastic. We need every penny we can raise and this platform has allowed us to continue to do so.
